Free petrol at Tescos
« on: 08 August 2008, 22:05:35 »

Had a voucher for two litres, put in two and got an error at the till. If you get one put in the money amount and not the volume amount.

I ended up with two trips to pump and paying an extra 2 p!

My mate drove tankers for Shell for over 25 years and he always said never buy Supermarket fuel because they buy it from cheap sources who keep their oil tankers moored up off shore which means the stuff gets contaminated.

He was proved right the other year when all those cars broke down because of that very problem.

I usually stay away from Supermarket fuel - but I had a 5p a litre off coupon and it was 5p cheaper than my Shell garage on the day I went so I saved £7+ for the week.

And I have to say it ran well, mpg as good as Shell and much better than Esso..............but I had to queue for 10 mins to get to a pump  :-/
