Its not exactly difficult if you show the car no respect and drive it like a idiot!

Its probably another classic case of the above, more than likely being driven by someone with no understanding of the driving characteristics of a rwd car, with too little experience, a dash of arrogance and a smidgen of over enthusiasm....

Converting mine was something i considered, but for me it will either be a supercharger come the next spring, or ill sell this and get a German left hooker with the V8 already in place.

Quite why they never sold a V8 version over here ill never know. :(

wonder how much for the engine!  :D

Although the top plenium looks cracked, but it looks like plastic?

Need MarksDTM to take a look really, I think i will e-mail the seller asking for a price on the engine!  :)

I would love to slot that 5.7V8 in my megga, and leave it badged a 2.2  ;)

As tunnie said it looks like plastic (the bit that is cracked) but they are replaceable ;D

Mmmmm..........Think the engine will still work?....1k for the engine, probably more, as your not gauranteed its OK. I know the monaro is on an omega chassis, so in theory would the engine fit into the meega, should do. :-/

I spose it will go in it'll just be a matter of how much grief it takes to get it there.

sadly i can't do it for at least 12 months, saving hard for my euro trip, then after that need to earn up some dosh....

Got an e-mail back from eBay about that Monaro, he gave me his phone number and said call that...

If the engine does cost a grand, then what a project! - I am sure with help here it can be fitted fairly cheaply so for cost of my car, 2.7K + 1K for V8.. so 4 grand could give you a car that does 170mph and 60 in around 6.5 seconds!  :o
