Wifey's has just had a 40° wash, caught it before it had a chance to spin as it was sitting in the rubber door seal and banging on the glass (let me out!) 
Shit! Took it out, dried it of with some kitchen roll, works fine. That has saved a few hundred quid for a replacement

Yep, excellent news for those of us who are not stupid enough to be taken in by the hype. Cheap cars that run on cheap fuel, superior mpg and get along the road quite nicely, thank you.
Wifey travels to Sheffield and back every day, no motorways involved. She is returning 53mpg (in an automatic), can get to 62 from a standing start in 9 seconds and has plenty of torques to play with. What's not to like?

If I could pick up a new diesel Jag for a few hundred quid I'd buy it.
