An interesting couple of weeks....
« on: 02 December 2006, 21:10:14 »

Howdoo all.
Been away for a few weeks due to enforced circumstances - anyone else fancy a heart attack at 48  :'(  - and by jove, been a fair bit of change hereabouts!!

Took me ages to log in though.....  Had to reformat my PC from scratch and reinstall everything.  (Nothing to do with the site, the PC went t*ts up whilst in hospital) and then I tried to log on to OOF.  Apart from forgetting my password, it appears that TB and others have been playing silly buggers and had to set up the place again after a hosting issue.  Got there eventually (July was a good month then, but please TB, delete the user 'Guffer' that I had to create to log in with....

when I eventually get here, I find......

MickDundee giving lessons to the heathen on how to speak the Chosen Language of The Few....
Mark turning in his explod estate to a car ramp (glad your OK Mark, sheet steel is easier to replace than flesh and blood)
TB deciding to replace the Commodore 64 with a 386 at long last ( Joking - must have been a fair bit of grief, glad you managed on our collective behalf)
Gods, knights, intermediates, experts - I've lost the plot! Whats next?
Tunnie - had his keyboard fingers cut and shut, now back to a newbie! Thats what happens when you dis the mods and admins, matey!

Ah well.  Back tae auld claes and parrich whilst wading through the glaur left ahint o' a wheen o' posts clappit oan here since 14th November...

 ;D

Thanks for the comments, peeps.  Most welcome.

For future info, if anyone intends to drop like a bag of spanners onto the hard shoulder of the motorway in best Holby City/Casualty style, make sure theres a pair of paramedics and an ambulance already in attendance at the RTC so they can get the leads out and get you jump started....  And remember to tuck your feet in - saves the lorries and cars having to swerve to avoid the legs of the donut processing machine!  ;)

Scarier than that...

Drove the company car at standard warp speed with lights and sirens to get to the crash just 5 mins before.  Nothing spectacular en route, no harsh braking, no eejits pulling out in front of me, absolutely nowt, just another day at the office, so to speak.

Put out cones and signs as per usual to protect offside lane with offending car part on verge, part on lane, then speaking with my partner.  No chest pains, no stiff arms or other classic symptoms, just dizzy.

Next aware of was wrestling with crew to sit up in the back of the ambulance on the way to resus at A and E.

Now THAT is scarier.....

But still here to tell the tale.

Now every day is a nice day, even the liquid sunshine up here!

Nope....

Liquid sunshine is what we sometimes call 'a wee dampness in the air'.

...... and how those who managed to slip northwards over the wall we built to keep them out call 'p*ss*ng down'

Howdoo.     Baron ?    :o  They have rejigged the post scores!

Off until the end of January at the earliest, thanks.

Will take that long to catch up on the posts!

And the paperwork to sort out the various insurances and stuff!  Makes Santa potentially much happier.
