Nope....

Liquid sunshine is what we sometimes call 'a wee dampness in the air'.

...... and how those who managed to slip northwards over the wall we built to keep them out call 'p*ss*ng down'

;D

Not a nice thing that - hope you are better and to STM0 - cut out those fags - they will kill you.

2 grand parents taken out by cancer - one had lost 1.333333 lungs

I had stress issues earlier in the year - I now have to let things wash over me unless I want to take beta blockers again.

Scary stuff, that....  :( no laughing matter….

You’re one lucky guy! I guess the ambulance crew were on their way to the crash site when you collapsed… that was a real near miss.

Donnow… I’m 47… a couple of years ago a guy whom I used to share a desk week every two weeks for the past 5 years (I work on customers' sites) wasn’t there, his side of the desk seemed suspiciously clear, I innocently asked a mate about him – he was 46, and one morning just didn’t wake up. Went in his sleep... Really scary stuff.

Very very glad you made it. An yes I suppose life does look a little different now…

On the more reassuring side, my father had a heart attack when he was 65, he is now 76 and going strong! After his ordeal he started keeping a healthy diet and took up long-distance walking and generally keeps fit, and oddly he is in much better shape now than he was before.. he got slimmer, fitter, and generally feels much better - and no longer goes out of breath when climbing stairs! Touch wood. So I guess sometime we all need a wake-up call…

Anyway take care mate!  :y

Good to here you're ok and on the road to recovery Broocie. :y Thought I hadn't seen you posting recently, but sound like you're gonna have a bit of time to catch up on your posts - you could make Baron in no time ::) :)

Like STMO, I'm 52, smoke about 20 a day and drink too much beer so I guess I should take care of myself a bit more :-[

I'm not saying that drinking & smoking (ex 20/30 a day man) does you any good but life isn't quite as cut and dried as that. My Dad's 70 next, has smoked like a chimney and has supped enough to floor many a man half his age but he's as fit as a flea! On the other hand 2 years ago my sister-in-law cooked Christmas dinner for 12 and was dead on 27 Dec aged 36! Post mortem proved 'inconclusive'!

Scarier than that...

Drove the company car at standard warp speed with lights and sirens to get to the crash just 5 mins before.  Nothing spectacular en route, no harsh braking, no eejits pulling out in front of me, absolutely nowt, just another day at the office, so to speak.

Put out cones and signs as per usual to protect offside lane with offending car part on verge, part on lane, then speaking with my partner.  No chest pains, no stiff arms or other classic symptoms, just dizzy.

Next aware of was wrestling with crew to sit up in the back of the ambulance on the way to resus at A and E.

Now THAT is scarier.....

But still here to tell the tale.

Now every day is a nice day, even the liquid sunshine up here!

Pleased your okay mate.

Roll on the commutation !!!!!!!

Take it easy.
