I started a thread a while back about an MGBGT owned by an old friend of mine, and how best to sell it. He has decided to send it to auction and asked me to have a drive in it today to check everything is ok before it gets collected on Thursday.
I owned one of these briefly a long time ago, and didn't have fond memories of it, but 40 years on and taking into account the progress in the intervening years, I was shocked how awful it was.
As MGB,s go, this is as good as it gets, but I wouldn't want to drive it for any distance unless I was being well paid to do so.
The only way I can try and convey how awful it was, is to say that I got back into my sons 17 year old 1.2 Punto, and it was immediately obvious that it is an immeasurably better car in any way you care to think of.
This is the actual car.
