Bath full of water, and no, no silicone beneath the trim... The idea being that the trim covers the gap and the adhesive attaches the trim to the tiles and bath... Continuous bead on both
sorry DG , I've lost count of how many baths and showers that i have removed such trim arrangements from because they leak, causing expensive damage to plasterwork and floor etc below .I don't know of any such "trim" that actually works long term, seen lots that "claim" to
a good seal of silicone ,left to cure , then fit what ever trim you like over it to hide a gap ,make it look pretty
plenty of trim about to make the gap look pretty AFTER sealing ,
I have used UPVC cloaking strip(available from wickes etc, for round upvc windows) with silicone (anti mould) to tidy up ugly gaps with great success
perhaps try that ,when your oak trim /Gorilla gue fails
I know silicone is a messy ,smelly job
, get a kitchen roll, full hazmat PPE
mask off what you don't want to seal or have silicone over (plenty of youtube videos of this)
