My toughbook has unfortunatly died!! had an ibm deathstar in it so i have now bought a Sony Vaio VGN NR32L cheap and cheerful! not impressed with it though!

i hate vista thats the main problem!!!!!!!!!!!!

think it will be going back to PC World get another hdd for the toughbook

yes have ordered a new deathstar hopefully it will last another year of abuse!

these panasonic toughbooks even have EMP protection!!!!!!

How can you like vista?  :o
Because its faster (on modern hardware), and so much quicker to use from an interface point of view.  And it doesn't need constant rebuilding like XP does.  And its more secure for those pillocks who think running as an administrator all the time somehow proves the size of their manhood.

Well looks like I'm gonna be finding out about vista first hand tomorrow.
Just ordered a new lappy and it comes with vista preinstalled so I think I'll have to give it a try and see how it goes.
Was wondering if I upgrade the memory to 4Gb would it be worth looking at getting the 64 bit version instead of home premium 32 bit?

32bit can't use 4g (without pae, which wont likely be on lappy).  64bit is still lacking some drivers, so check that out first
