Law on wheel sizes
« on: 22 August 2008, 13:07:06 »

I am planning to take the (rather scruffy) 17" alloys (with very boarderline tyres) off my Elite tomorrow, to get them refurbed, and new rubber fitted.

In the interim, (to keep the car mobile) can I fit some slightly smaller, steel wheels, providing the tyres are good and of the correct speed rating?

I know it would affect speedo readling slightly , but otherwise what is the score on this?

No legal issues specific to this, just the normal ones about condition of tyres, etc etc etc.
