Do Vauxhall produce anything worth buying new? 

Does any mainstream manufacturer make anything worth buying new? Just been looking at the astra K 1.6 cdti estate, £27K for the elite. In three years and 30,000 miles you will get one for 8-9K.

Hard to imagine anybody being retarded enough to pay that.

Although I doubt they will give you £4000 for an Omega! 

Hmm.....new Astra or F-Type. I shall need time to decide.

I suppose we all have different priorities. £16k for 2 years' motoring doesn't sound like much of a bargain to me. I spent less than half of that on my Omega and it's lasted me 12 years and counting.

Quite. It sounds like a bum deal to me. But he "must" have a S-Class for some reason I can't grasp, and given that, I do have to concede that his way is the cheapest way to achieve that.

Ok.....so £16000 over  2 years is around £700 each month........so not buttons.

But as mentioned there is the depreciation to be considered.
