« on: 24 August 2008, 19:16:06 »

Looks like wifey is missing life in the uk so has decided she now wants too come home... ::)

Due too having no holiday left it looks like im going too be traveling about 8000 miles taking about 52 hours.. :o

Leave on the 11th arrive on the 12th...depart on the 14th and get back on the 15th early afternoon and start work same evening. ;D

Mate of mine said ive lost the plot...well maybe but anyone with young children will know its a small price too pay too see them after not seeing them for weeks on end. :y

Just hope Kuwait airport allow smoking....thought of sitting in there for hours waiting for transfer flight is depressing me already. ;D

You will have to recheck in anyway which means going out of air-side.  On the air-side there are plenty of outdoor smoking areas if my memory serves, plenty of Arabs smoke so no probs there trust me.  The thing with Kuwaitis is that you have a lot of really nice ones, and a lot of assholes too, oh wait just like Heathrow, Gatwick and just about any other airport in the world.......

.....that is except for Newark, they are pissey, bitching and rude..... oh and thats just the check-in staff that work for the same company that my wife works for. (not a good experience where I had to bite my lip for fear of getting my wife in trouble)  I would expect to be treated with a small amount of respect by my fellow colleagues, not in this airline.......

.....yet in Washington DC the staff were the best, they worked hard to find my lost luggage, were pleasant and courteous.....

What I am trying to say is that you get assholes everywhere, dont base your opinion of that race based on one encounter  :y

Wasn't basing opinion of there race on last visit too the airport....in fact the cabin crew were the most helpfull ive come across yet.

So if held in transit area (been a few years so think thats the place) its not too difficult getting out for a smoke and back in.
