Audi lights
« on: 25 August 2008, 02:13:23 »

Don't you hate those new lights on Audis (the ones that look, as Mr J Clarkson says like "cheap Xmas decorations")

I wouldn't mind so much - but their owners are obviously so goddam pleased with them they drive around all day with them switched on!!!
or are they "on" all the time - like Volvos?

either way they look ridiculous so please stop it.
it's not big and it's not clever  >:(

Sorry to go agains't the trend (I often do! :D ;)), but I actually like the Audi lights! :o 8-) 8-)

As I understand they are "notice" or "day" lights, as the Volvo's have had for 20+ years and indeed the new Vx Insignia is fitted with. ;)

It looks as though what Volvo started all those years ago will be adopted (slowly) by all other manufacturers, and indeed EU / Car build regulations will no doubt adopt for all new cars!! :D :D ;)

TBH,

If they where "defused" alitte more, so they looked like a strip of light rather than a set of LED's it would look so so much better,

The idea is sound though, they do get noticed

It's a shame that a company that thinks of itself a premium brand has to put such tat on its' models. Then again, the German car industry are not very good in the "taste" department IMHO.
