Wishbones done
« on: 25 August 2008, 01:10:01 »

First off a big thanks to Kevin for giving me a hand with my wishbone change. Such jobs are a lot easier with two of you - and strangely, quicker, when you take a side each ;D

The old wishbones didn't look toooo bad and didn't feel too bad - but once the new ones were fitted the tramlining and bounce steer instantly disappeared.

Using a sprit level (and even by eye) we could see that the camber was a mile out and would explain why the tyres were being chewed up on the inner edge.

We've adjusted the camber "roughly" for now and got it a lot better, but now it's got new suspension components it is going for the WIM treatement ASAP.

Also put my spare set of wheels (with new tyres) on, as the old ones were shot.

I plan to refurb the alloys, and get new tyres on them, and fit them at the same time it get's Wim'd :y

Glad you got back OK.

Oh, and you still managed to leave some tools here, and clothes, I believe. ;)
