I have just used my limited wealth to buy a new 2019 7th Generation 128GB  iPad today, which after set up I am now using.

I am so pleased I have, as it beats my old 16GB iPad Air hands down with speed that has almost amazed me. 

So, if you can, get a new up to date electronic gizzmo when the old is past its sell by date

And whats wrong with my circa 2007 laptop that I'm typing this on?  Its clearly better than Mrs TB's much, much newer laptop that let all the pixie smoke out.

That is probably due to you knowing what you do and having rebuilt it, something I could never do

It came with Vista, but that came off the second Windows 7 was launched.  Obviously now its on Windows 10, 1909.
