My local corner shop has been selling  Creme eggs since for a fortnight. I've been good an resisted the temptation. Which is likely to change when the mince pie supply dries up.

Yes, we used to place our stores Christmas product requirements in May/June, with Easter products in July/August.

The manufacturers started their production runs before those dates ;)

But if you look at date of manufacture on a Nestles egg, they're all the same ...  ;)

Which of course is impossible in practical terms, although when I was in the trade the dates shown were a generic “best before date” of about August of that year. ;)

Mr Kipling????

Mince pies should have plenty of moist filling(brandy helps, whether inside or in brandy butter spread on top) in a buttery pastry, not sludge in cardboard.
