I think the designers must have been inspired by the Morris Marina 1800TC Coupe! 

Although those wheels would look much better if the body was finished in BL Mustard.

The later ones aren't as well specced as the early X351 XJ's.  A very capable car, but not what I'd call a drivers car. 

Not much gives the baby killing tractor versions much trouble, the XJR has twice the bhp.

A lovely car though, but absolutely pig ugly at the back.

Yep....great looking car for the late sixties. Looked very modern at the time when compared to a MK2 Cortina.
