Officially stuck at home...

Been stood down under the 80% scheme.

Net result is a £60 pay rise as I won't be commuting...

There is a catch though, as it stands, only four of the twelve people I work with have a job when flying resumes. I can therefore either sit and wait, or apply for other work and leave...

Thinking that sitting and waiting and using the time to renew my CPC and/or otherwise retrain would be a good idea.

Sad news..but....why wouldn't you renew your CPC? It's another string to your bow and this seems like the perfect opportunity.

The only reason not to would be availability... Bit difficult to attend courses if everywhere is shut down...  :-\

Need to see just how much I get paid at the end of the month as I also need to replace the car, but that's a whole different saga :D

Maybe there's an online course to get your CPC back?  :-\

They should scrap it anyway in January, as it was, it is and always will a load of bollix that has increased costs for haulage firms, reduced the pool of available drivers (especially the weekend warriors) and I doubt has made any marked improvement to road safety.  ::)

If the worst was to occur, will you be in line for redundancy?  If so that could be used for the best training / qualifications in another skill ;)

I think it needed to be tougher
still allowed to got to the park etc is what people where doing
anyone stopped will say " i'm out exercising"
I expect after a few more days we will get locked down properly
