Looks very clean and MOT record is impressive for a 19 year old car; MOT due 3 Oct 20, mileage at last MOT 77K. MOT claims colour is red, it looks blue in pics. I bought a car like that, 2.0 petrol manual, for £300 7 years ago. I fancy they may have gor dearer recently, though not so much as the Citroen CX manual petrol turbo I sold for £200, and I saw one this forum (£6K?) recently.

Good luck with it!

Is the colour not Persia? That is like a deep metallic / pearlescent purple in some light, and would no doubt have been described as red when first registered. One of the more rarer colours for an Omega.

Thanks for your replies chaps, yes as far as I can see it’s Persia red which is one of the two colours I was after… It’s slightly older than what I wanted but with a fairly low mileage it shouldn’t be too bad.

It looks to have an electric rear blind and sunroof which I believe to be fairly rare as well, I’m pretty sure it was just a PFL cars that had rear blinds?

I should’ve said as well, it’s a 3.0 elite with from what looks like all the toys… Heated front and rear seats, memory drivers seat sunroof, electric wheel blind, colour satnav

I guess it’s a very early, maybe one of the first facelifts?

Elites were fitted with an electric rear blind until approx 2002, which was dropped around the time when rain sensitive wipers were introduced, although there was a bit of 'overlap'. My 02 3.2 has a rear blind and rain sensitive wipers,  and was fitted with the 5 spoke alloys.
Colour sat nav is a good plus.....

W was the earliest facelift, Y being the last 2.5/3.0 and early 2.6/3.2 :y

Both blinds and rain sensing wipers are retrofitable regardless of age, (the wiring is generally there from the factory).

I may have previously done work on that one, but something in the back of my mind is saying that it was a Y 2.6 in that colour :-\

Good to know that rain sensing wipers is a retrofit, definitely something I might look into doing

Obviously requires some wiring and a new screen ;)

The sensor is clipped to the screen, so kinda required  ;D and the wiring runs to the intermittent speed switch loom iirc ;)

Sounds the same as what I did in my Vectra then, managed to get a sensor and the little bracket that holds a sensor to the windscreen and just use some tiger seal to hold it on… Worked a treat!
