So it was actually manufactured in 1999.

As to Y808NCB Red, it has an MOT advisory for the windscreen and for all four tyres worn at the edge. The tyres usually mean the front suspension needs overhauling and alignment as well as new tyres. If the windscreen is cracked, it will likely have to be replaced. So factor that into the purchase price.

So I’m just looking at the car now and it’s definitely an ex-OOF owners car as it’s got Omega Owners.com stickers on it and on the numberplates

Here's a picture of the medium 'omegaowners.com' window sticker, medium size and sold out, taken from the forum shop.

Good to know that rain sensing wipers is a retrofit, definitely something I might look into doing

Thanks for your replies chaps, yes as far as I can see it’s Persia red which is one of the two colours I was after… It’s slightly older than what I wanted but with a fairly low mileage it shouldn’t be too bad.

It looks to have an electric rear blind and sunroof which I believe to be fairly rare as well, I’m pretty sure it was just a PFL cars that had rear blinds?

I should’ve said as well, it’s a 3.0 elite with from what looks like all the toys… Heated front and rear seats, memory drivers seat sunroof, electric wheel blind, colour satnav

I guess it’s a very early, maybe one of the first facelifts?
W was the earliest facelift, Y being the last 2.5/3.0 and early 2.6/3.2 :y

Both blinds and rain sensing wipers are retrofitable regardless of age, (the wiring is generally there from the factory).

I may have previously done work on that one, but something in the back of my mind is saying that it was a Y 2.6 in that colour :-\

The Saab has rain sensing wipers,  fuoking crap,  spot of water they start, and if there's 5 spots they go into hype fast mode,, I just want them to pulse, which isn't an option >:(

Slide the ding-a-ling on the stalk down to alter the sensitivity.

So I’ve had a look through the paperwork that came with the car and the name Mr Baxter has come up a couple of times, there’s not much history per se but it does have every MOT certificate since the car was new!

Looks like a nice car.

Seems to be an unusual colour. What's the paint code? Should be on a label near the bottom of the driver's side B pillar.
