Fitted the front fan supplied by Dave the Builder - thanks! - had to "tweak" it a bit, the blades were perfect, the motor mounting needed a thwack or 2. Managed to secure the bottom of the fan shroud, so that's all good.
Resistor on rear fan was an utter, utter arse. Just accessible enough with both undertrays removed (the inspection one and the main engine one), but the bolt had enough rust to prevent any small tool that would squeeze into the space from gripping, but strong enough to be a proper bitch. Must have taken 4 hrs

Whacked on Tech2, stage 1 fans perfect

. Next stage errors, and sends straight to stage 5, throwing sucking motor malfunction and sucking motor low input. Testing the fan from the ecu multiplug, fan is fine both with direct power, and via resistor. So guessing the ecu has failed

So, the faults found are
Front fan motor seized
Read fan resistor
Probable ecu
And live data of the cooling module puts coolant temp at 70c, so that's 'dangle berries' as well.
Its all back together, as I need it in the week.
