well i just sold my phone for £221 on flea-bay 3 bidders :y or so i thought,send invoice to buyer :y next thing,i receive an email saying the following:- eBay sent this message to jayne bloxham (davejayneandellie).
Your registered name is included to show this message originated from eBay. Learn more.

I'm so sorry about this but my kid was playing around and she accidently pressed the buttons and the bid got submitted ... I do not actually need a phone now and am extremely sorry about this. Please relist this item.

Start a dispute and we will sort it amicably so that we do not have any feedback issues.. I will leave u a good feedback if it comes to dat point.

Again, accept my apologies.

According to a poster on the eBay forum a similar thing occured when someone asked to cancel a winning bid because her "bump" ( she was heavily pregnant at the time) kicked the buy it now key !!!!  She neglected to comment on how it also kicked the submit key AND the confirm key !!!!  Clever kiddie though  ::)

there was a 5 year old recently in Thornaby who bid several hundred thousand for an item, got on to tv, the seller had realised that something was wrong. :D :D :D

How many times do I need to say it!  Do not buy/sell high value electronic items - eg mobiles and laptops - on ebay!  You'll just give yourself a lot of stress.  Chances of getting scammed are not just high, they are very probable.

yep..same here.. e-bay has a local branch here (under a different name) .. I tried to buy a monitor and result was similiar..

Oh yes, they are out there ... somewhere !!!!!  Must admit we deal with around 50 buyers a day and only a couple a week are, let's say ... less than ideal !

Probably more than you think .. just they never get a mention ... folks only ever post about the problem transactions.. not the ones that just go through normally ... most likely over 90% work happily
