...... To Argos?!

Seems that they have moved to online and Click n Collect outlets in in Sainsbury's?   

I need a new printer and the nearest Argos about 15 miles away has closed, which is a pisser because living in a rural area there's not much nearby and that one was handy.

Oh dear, poor Worzel. I've got two Argos and two Sainsbury's local within five miles, and Barnsley ain't exactly the centre of the universe.

Didn't you get the memo, old style retail has one up the shitter, because millennials don't understand how to use real shops.

I'm delighted we had a Sainsburys open in Brakkers last year, so now have an Argos outlet on my doorstep

Am I right in thinking that it's just a click n collect outlet though?    Or can you nip in and get what you need?

For the most part its click and collect, but does hold some stock.  Given its size, its not often they have the sorts of things I buy in stock.

In your case, if the old one was 30 mile round trip, the £3.95 postage is probably cost effective.

It was just handy when you needed something right away and couldn't wait two or three days for something to turn up.

With our local Argos, although invariably it says it will be 3 or 4 days, its normally next day.

I feel your pain though, being a life long townie, when I moved to Brakkers it took a long time to get used to not having everything available on the doorstep.

Yes you've been able to get Argos stuff from Sainsbruys for at least a good couple of years now.
