Whats the alternative to those soft-touch buttons?
« on: 07 September 2008, 16:40:11 »

Just wondering really, given how c :-X p they are (how they peel away that is), what other alternatives can be used?  if any...

Would use Facelift ones, but they lack the heated seats switches (rotary knob instead of on/off), so not sure what to go with!

I think you need to go for the older ones paul.
I replaced my rough looking soft touch ones with a set from Jims boot stock. I'm sure he said they were pre mini facelift ones. made from a harder black plastic, but look Ok & dont wear

There not the ones which click twice when you press them are they??  Also be a bit hard getting a TC button from a pre mini facelift too, as they were to the left of the stereo, and not up on the row of switches...

unless you need the space left of stereo, easy to move tc switch there...

Nah Paul, I've got a replacement TC button as well.

I could be wrong about the age of the switches m8, but your after the hard switches with the "knobly" effect
