Their time will come once they leave the segregation unit & get put on a main wing usually only one officer to 42 inmates during the core day, possibly 3 if fully staffed for the evening duty so it would be physically impossible to monitor all movements on the spur. Whilst they are in segregation their food would be dished up by " trusted" prisoners if you catch my drift. The days of Officers being present on the servery are long gone.

No too long, hopefully. Its us paying for them, and, frankly, I don't want to.  I'd let them slowly stave, and just offer them salt to eat.
