I reckon if we had Sir Des as PM, he'd get on like a house on fire with Trumpy when he comes back in '24!  :y  ;D

Apparently Biden will still be there in 2028......which will make him 142 years old.

Doubt it.  He's clearly not all there now let alone 2028!  :-X  ;D

Election not due till 2024. In 2023 Rishi will cut taxes and increase pensions, game over, usually.

I suspect Donald will be back.
As for Boris. The May council elections will be the tester for him. If the Tories get hammered he,s a dead man walking imo.
If he has pulled things around by then he might be ok.

Yep the difference between Boris and Donald is that Donald never lost his core voters and got a record number of votes for a sitting President last year.

Boris on the other hand has totally pissed off his core voters with tax rises, uncontrolled illegal immigration, green crap, parties, handling of covid, corruption etc.

That's not the difference: the US President is elected directly(sort of, via the electoral college). The UK Prime Minister is not elected to that position, but attains it by being leader of the majority party in the commons. It's not even his 'real' job! Party leaders are traditionally given utterly safe seats, and the other parties have unwritten agreements not to contest them too much. Which means Boris' voters are his constituents in Middlesex and Ruislip.

The people he has to be careful of are the Tory MPs who select the candidates that the Tory membership elect. Once he loses the MPs support he's finished: look at Cameron, Major and Thatcher.

Of course it's the difference.  ::)

Once the Tory MP's decide that Boris has irrevocably lost the party faithful, the knives will come out and he'll be finished.

Look at Theresa May!
