Yep it will be The West who cough up to a large extent, but maybe rightly so in some respects.
The Ukranians have shown Vladolf and the wider world that apart from the nukes, the Russian war machine is really nothing special.
That should be something for him and all his potential enemies to bear in mind.
The West does still have power, even if much of it is soft power.
Im guessing that there will be a settlement soon, where Ukraine doesnt join NATO in the foreseeable future, and Vladolf officially gets to keep Crimea and some of eastern Ukraine.
That part of Ukraine is culturally Russian and is run by warlords and Gangsters, so no great loss really.
Maybe that is what he was after all along.
Next problem will be the Chinese and thats a much bigger problem altogether.
Once Ukraine calms down, Vladolf will become much closer to them, and they will buy his energy and other essentials at knock down prices, leaving some Western countries struggling.
Serves them right.

I agree. I think most of it was ordered by Brezhnev.

Amongst the grim scenes that we've become accustomed to on our screens lately, some light relief can be had from the vids of Ukrainian farmers towing away millions of dollars worth of abandoned Russian tanks and other valuable military kit.  :y

I saw one recently of three lads on a motorbike and side car laughing manically as they made off with some kind of artillery gun towed behind the bike!  ;D

I wonder what sort of MPG (or GPM!) you get from a Russian T80 main battle tank?  ???

I doubt I could afford to drive it back...  :-\   Which is probably why the Russians have abandoned them all over the place!  :D

Compared to diesel tanks, the T-80's fuel consumption in the most severe conditions reaches eight liters per kilometer. For comparison: for T-72 and T-90 tanks this figure is two to four liters.

It is claimed by Ukraine that a fifth Russian general has been killed, in addition to around 14,000, in total to date, Russian soldiers also dying.

If this is true, and it is certainly believable as their claims of the other four generals killed were proved to be true, it shows that Putin has failed in his aims for a quick, decisive, military campaign.

How much longer can the truth be kept from the Russian public.  No matter what the state officially broadcasts, the truth can only eventually leak out. At least we hope so :y
