The observable universe is that we can see. The number of stars within it is simply mind-bending.

What lies outside of the observable goes on for infinity......it's fookin big. Bigger even than Rotherham. ;)

As for the question is there life other than us...... I would say almost certainly.

In popular imagination Aliens are much more intelligent and advanced than we are.  What if we are the most intelligent and advanced beings in the universe?  ???  :D

There is a line in Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy when an alien invasion force arrives on planet Earth, but they get their scale of things completely wrong and "are swallowed by a small dog."   Always makes me laugh that.  ;D
