Reasonable prices for 3.2 V6 engine...
« on: 09 September 2008, 20:33:38 »

Without management, just engine...

So far quoted £860 from one breakers, which I think is a 'tad' overpriced...

I know these are somewhat hard to come by, but surely still possible to get cheaply??

when i was looking for my 2.6 that was an average price for a bare lump, so no that's about the norm......

i fell lucky and sourced a FWD lump, it might be worth looking for a wrecked 3.2 veccy, still not many around but i would imagine they are easier to come by

Aye I was thinking of looking for the FWD version and using that, not much to get it in the Omega really I'd imagine!

Although I'd then be tempted to source the 2.6 VXR lump  ;D even though there is no way in hell that would ever work without serious bodging...

Why not just go for a 3.0 and save a few hundred quid, ok it might be 10bhp down but the change will buy you a chip ;)

Why not just buy a 3.2, with car attached?

Cheaper, easier!

gash interior
gash front end
gash roadtax hikes

least with fitting a 3.2 to a pre-2001 shell, the tax goes on the older element of the car, so tax will remain the same :)

There are other plans too, but it is a long term plan, and after sorting out all the other things, don't want to change the car.
