..... How many of you are still wearing a mask out and about? 

I haven't worn a mask for months now, but nothing wrong if you do.  After all there are a lot of folk out there with health conditions that clearly want to avoid catching a cold let alone Covid and believe that masks offer protection.    I'm just curious that's all. 

Yesterday going into Tesco, I passed a woman in her late thirties with two kids, a boy and a girl both about 7 or 8 years old. The woman was wearing a gasmask type mask with two filters and both kids were wearing the neoprene masks with the little breathing hole/filter. The little lad was getting a bollocking from his Mum because he kept fiddling with his mask and taking it off etc. 

I first thought that she was totally ridiculous, but did reflect that there might have been good reason for masking up like that.    I suspect though that she is in fact a ridiculous woman and is damaging her kids with her Covid paranoia! 

Thoughts?

If people (women mainly) are excessively ugly perhaps the wearing of masks should be made mandatory.

I wear one at each and every opportunity , have hand sanitizer in all the vehicles and look for and use it upon entering every shop or public building I go into.
My wife has been in the Stroke Recovery Ward for two months after suffering three devastating strokes and I will not, and cannot ,risk being a carrier .
The ward has been closed to visiting twice in the time she has been in Hospital resulting in all visits being cancelled , which is a particularly difficult thing to have to bear . This was most likely due to it being brought in by visitors , including possibly me .
It's still out there and I now know what the personal results of it being transmitted by those that don't care anymore are .

So sorry to hear about your wife, Don, very sad.
My wife, out of the blue, commented the other day about how many people are still dying from covid. I think she came across the figures while skimming through the internet, and was quite shocked. It is definitely still out there but, I think, the powers that be have decided that they/we can't afford to pay it too much attention.
Once again, so very sorry for your wife.

Thanks Lads .
There have been some pretty dark days since early April.
It brought home to me the fragility of life and how quickly it can all change .
We planned retirement for years and she took early retirement last October .
It was all supposed to start this year but will now have to wait .
I just look for small , very small , improvements as often as possible and hope for the best .
I say this in all sincerity , reach out to your wife or partner , give her a big cuddle and tell her you love her , because ..........
