So, I'm guessing you don't think Trump should be hanged then? I do.
No. However, for the most part he had a steadfast, patriotic team around him which ultimately were able to direct him in a manner more becoming of the position. Besides, it is all too easy to judge comments alleged to have been made out of full context. Most of the live testimony yesterday was 'along the lines of' or 'words to the effect of' and the questioning was somewhat directed. For example, given how adamant Trump was about the election being rigged, he obviously wasn't thinking clearly and perhaps more effort should have been made by his staff to curtail the events leading up to January 6th, but no real context was given to his thought process in that moment. Not to make excuses, but to give clarity to how someone like that, in that situation and position might be reasonably expected to behave... ie if you were Trump, at that moment, would you honestly have been any different?
Mark Meadows, for one, should be facing criminal charges for his part the events of the day.
On the flip side, if Donald Jr were to run in 2024, I think he would actually do well
A quick observation, to set the context of the witness, a senior White House staffer, a photo was shown, taken on Airforce One. One person in the picture is clearly photoshopped 7:24 into the video. It looks like one of those prop photos you see on telly box where the picture is altered to look like the actor, but they haven't quite got the angle or lighting right
