Because the US public and even Republican politicians know he is dishonest, a liar, deluded, divisive, dangerous, and, allegedly, involved in criminal acts against the USA. What else do we need to know?

No politician is perfect. Certainly Churchill was not. No one is. But to think someone who is now being outed as the criminal that many thought he was, is better than the other Presidents who did their best within their abilities, amazes me.
Trump is a out and out bad guy who only does what he wants for himself. Why did he store boxes of strictly top secret documents on his private property when he knew that was a criminal act? To use these documents to blackmail his opponents? To sell on to the criminal fraternity? Or simple give to his friend Putin for a dark and criminal reason?
The people of the USA need to know the answers as to why those boxes were still in his private possession after weeks of the Department of Justice asking for whatever he had to be surrendered.
If he had been a British Prime Minister doing all this we, the British public would be asking for blood. Boris is ultimately going for just lying. So why is Trump being protected and praised this side of the pond, let alone in the States that he divided terribly. Even Republican former colleagues and advisors are now starting to fall away from supporting him as they know his very real and dangerous flaws.
