Dash Mounts
« on: 10 September 2008, 22:11:19 »

Anyone know of a cheapish place for dashmounts?

need to mount an iPaq & iPhone in a shared system (only one mounted at a time)

Belive this place was mentioned before:

http://www.dashmount.com/manufacturers.htm

Can't find one for the Omega though.

After a bracket, and adjustable mount/clip system to hold the device.

Those Brodit clips will do it but they're pricy.

Humm, not sure i want it off the vents.

Ideally like some think off the centre console, mounted low. Near the leccy window buttons on prefacelift.

Have a look at :-
http://www.expansys.com/zoompic.aspx?type=item&i=152293 ,
its a generic centre console mount

That looks good, maybe in combination with:

Does anyone have any photos of their own installs?

I have a 'thing' that clips into the dash by the coin tray, runs down the side of the passenger footwell and via a metal 'tab' clips on to the back of the dash in the footwell. Its all finished the same as the dash (bumpy plastic).

Its hard and various things can be screwed to it, when you get rid of car just pull it out, job done.

In the pic below i have speed camera detector fixed to it, i now also have the GPS bracket fixed to it

Gives a very neat install.

Bought it off e-bay couple of years ago, if i can find the link i'll post it up.

Think it only cost £10 at the time, and it was car and colour specific

Dashmount do one for facelift, available from dashmount, or siocommunications.co.uk.  Used to be around £20 iirc.

Seem to recall facelift ones went near centre tunnel, rather than console.
