THere's been predictions that Britain will run out of electricity at times this winter for various reasons. 

This morning I got up and thought Effing hell it's cold, didn't think too much about it as it was cold last night and jumped in the shower only to find the water was lukewarm!   

After a very brief shower, I checked the central heating controller to find that there had been a power cut just when the heating and water were due to come on. 

So that's the first outage. Anyone else had a power cut?

I was thinking about going away somewhere warm and sunny for the Christmas week, but now apparently Border Farce staff are on strike which will cause travel chaos especially on the return flight. 

So looks like I'll stay and shiver like everyone else....
