Aquiss look to have stopped issuing ranges. A&A are an option but significantly more expensive, plus when you worked with all ISPs in a former life, you know which ones are good, and which aren't ;D

It's mostly IPv6 enabled, would need to apply f/w rules and add a AAAA. But most user's PCs/Internet connections aren't, so not viable for a web server.

/28 takes you straight into awkwardness I guess, that's  well beyond most home users requirements
I had a /29 a few years back but never actually used any

It pi$$ed me off yesterday ....

Out of hours doctor visited my Dad at around 7 o'clock last night (we weren't told till later  :-X)
She prescribed antibiotics for a chest infection & wanted him to start them sooner rather than later. She told my Dad she'd make out an electonic prescription & send him a message to his phone as to where he could collect them.
At almost 10 she sent a message to say she'd sent the prescription to a local-ish Asda.

All very well but the Asda in question shuts at 10 & the pharmacy in there shut a 9 .......  :-X :-X :-X :-X :-X

He got to see a doctor. He was prescribed antibiotics. These days that goes down as a massive win.

Not being funny but not everyone has someone to go and fetch tablets for them when they’re incapacitated. They could have arranged delivery.  :)

Not being funny but not everyone has someone to go and fetch tablets for them when they’re incapacitated. They could have arranged delivery.  :)

They do normally get their prescriptions delivered, but this prescription was late evening after the out of hours doctor had been to their house. And as above, the doctor didn't message my Dad as to which pharmacy she'd sent the prescription to until after the pharmacy had closed.
I discovered this morning though that there is an option to send the prescription to a 'cloud' so that any pharmacy could have made it up, but she didn't.

It is about time that the UK adopts the Spanish model for prescriptions. Ten seconds or less after the doc enters your requirement on the system , you can go to any pharmacy anywhere in the country. Each pharmacy has two deliveries a day so if it isn’t available it will be later.

I used to have a right billy do with Dad’s meds in Yorkshire. Doctors pharmacy don’t deliver so had to use other one. The time for a prescription to go onto the system could be hours. And no one cares.

Endemic in the UK, particularly where government departments are involved.

Take East-West rail.  All complete (as far as Bletchley), and ready to go for over a year, but not carried a paying passenger yet, because the unions don't like it.  So track sat deteriorating, along with the rolling stock they nicked from West Mids Trains (that's why you Brummies have really short trains now!).

I'd line the drivers and the unions, shoot the lot. And the minister for transport.  That's our taxpayer money that's squandered on it.

BAck to what pissed me off. Khan the Khunt really needs to sort out his transport system.  Yesterday, half the tubes were donald ducked.  And when waiting 20+ minutes for a train, you had zero chance of getting on the first one.

I knew I should have driven.  It's just I was having to use her car, as mine is broken, and didn't fancy a manual along the Marylebone Road ;D

Zen Internet again.  Finally got a rather meaningless response from them, completely ignoring the points I'd raised.

The outcome of this problem will probably determine OOF's fate.

Of all the ISP's Zen is the one I thought the most highly of in all areas, hopefully they aren't going to become the same as all the other shite ones (About 99% of them) out there.

On a different note, do you know much about the KC12 Assure survey and adoption of ducts if I send you a message?  ::)
