Ordered something late Friday, got an email saying confirmed for Monday via Royally Failed.
About an hour later, got another email saying it had been upgraded to a Sunday delivery with regular tracking updates from the sender.
Tracking confirmed as received at Horsham and then out for delivery at 12.19. Afternoon comes and goes and tracking changes to Item on Retention at 15.26.
Next email from sender says item ready for collection at Horsham DO. Of course they're only open 8-10

Get there to be told that they don't deliver to my village from Horsham

so I show him the tracking info. Oh yes he says we deliver from here on Sundays. But there's no point me looking because it won't be here.

I says the tracking info suggests otherwise, so off he goes. Comes back ten minutes later saying it's been sent back to Gatwick to be redirected to my village. My next question, some what predictably, was to ask when this month I could expect my parcel. Dunno was the reply.
Got home just as my postie was walking up the drive with it.
Moral of the story... If someone offers an upgrade to a Sunday delivery, politely decline it as it won't happen and you'll just get pissed off for nowt.
