Popped to Colchest this morning. parked in town centre car park, went to a shop, made a purchase and back in the car in less than ten minutes.
I had a feeling the first 30 minutes might be free, but if not expected to pay less than a quid.
£2.60 for ten bloody minutes. Robbing gits.  >:(

I wouldn't be surprised if Hospital staff are on commission from the car park staff  :P
Hospital staff keep you waiting for hours to get seen ,then 2 more hours for x-ray ,then 2 more hours for results etc etc

Had to go to a funeral a few days ago in South London , grew up in that area years ago, drove back to my cousin's house a couple of miles away , a £65 fine dropped through my letterbox this morning because one of the roads I drove down is residents only because there is a school along it. Croydon council is bankrupt  so I'm happy to help them out, robbing bastards. It was a backstreet just round from my grandparents house how times have changed.

You got fined for just driving down a road that is residents only?  :o

I didn't even know there are 'residents only' roads.  :-\

Spoke to my cousins husband today , apparently there are several in Croydon now one just round the corner from their house, the signs are barely visible my photographic evidence showed our car at a mini roundabout, so obviously you would be observing traffic. They are residents only at certain times of the day which would be school starting & school finishing times , so ANPR clocked me. Add to that the various speed limits, some main roads are 20mph totally ridiculous.

Same stuff in Spain. Golden age of sense has gone , ditto motoring.

The one difference is here they often don’t tell you in writing you have a fine. Everyone is expected to have and use their digital signature to logon to the “ DVLA”  ( DGT) periodically to see if you have any fines that need paying and if you have any points taken off your licence.

I really can't believe what has happened to the town I was born in, my cousin even has to pay to park in the road outside her house, the fine I received would increase to £130 if not paid within 14 days & would increase by £65 every 14 days after. The whole of South London has become a shithole, I was glad to get back to Lincolnshire & then we're back  to Spain on the 25th..👍

Amazon >:(

Ordered a desk for myself, comes flat pack & self asembly.
160cm wide.

Item arrived but the box is only 82cm long (Half of which was expected)

Tried to get through to amazon and thier robot receptionist took over and really pi**ed me off.

Now have to send it back, get a refund and start the order all over.

DPD did not help either, thier app said the driver was on delivery 94 and mine was 98.  Just got to the loo for a quick pee and the door flew open, not even a knockl on the door.

Now I have to take multiple pictures and sent them for them to start a refund.

NOT HAPPY. >:(

You are sure that the top of the desk doesn't comprise of 2x80cm pieces? It's strange that the box should be exactly half of the width of the desk, allowing for packaging.
