The drivers (well, one of the drivers) in front of me who were travelling at 60mph but decided to come to a complete standstill because an Ambulance on blues and twos was approaching from behind. With heavy traffic coming from the opposite direction, the Ambulance was stuck. Well, until a driver coming from the opposite direction had the foresight to give them space to continue.  ::)
Why don’t drivers just keep moving and allow the emergency vehicle to pass when it’s safe to do so. At least that way, the emergency vehicle is still making progress, and my blood pressure wouldn’t rise due to screaming at the driver who stopped.
I honestly think that they should run adverts to publicise this more, as some drivers just panic.

It never ceases to amaze me how some drivers are like a deer in the headlights as soon as something unexpected happens. Had 2 of these idiots stop, adjacent to each other, on a single carriageway on my commute recently, completely blocking the way.

It seems that very few people indeed have any clue whatsoever, how to drive these days.
Im making a concerted effort not to get mad about it any more, because its just so common I would be permanently in a state of anger on the roads.
Im also too old to get out and smack someone when they do something really dangerous, which happens on a daily basis.  ;D

Me too. Only I fail. A lot.

It's got to the point I don't actually drive that much if I can help it.  I get Mrs TB to take me to work on those pointless days I go into the office to collaborate by myself, and for many work trips, I have a chauffeur, and sit in the passenger seat with wine gums.... ;D

I drove to Coventry and back yesterday, and found myself shouting and ranting at the stupidity of other road users.  Including the stoned out knob jockey in a Saab doing between 55 and 75 in the outside lane all the way from Longbridge Island to Banbury.

Totally oblivious to the carnage caused.

And that surprises you because? Saab drivers always fell into one of three camps... Those flat cappists who graduated from MGs, Architect types (and we all know how they are :-X) and hairdressers in their 9-3 convertibles.

No reason why that has changed any >:D

Driving out of the village tonight in the C1, avoiding the worst of the potholes, most of which have traffic cones sat in them to help with this.
Suddenly realised that the cone had gone missing from the last one, just too late and hit it so hard it burst the n/s/f tyre, which was brand new a month ago.
The state of the roads are a national disgrace, but the powers that be couldnt give a toss.  >:(
Will need to check in the morning if anything else is bent / broken.   ::)

It's probably a 25 mile stretch. Even most local Merc drivers realise within 10 miles....

Although there’s no guarantee of a successful claim, our council has been inundated with damage claims for pot hole damage. Anything ranging from a tyre to suspension damage. Such is the scale of the number of claims, the council have reported that it may take over four months before your claim gets dealt with. I’ve had to replace nearly new tyres due to pot hole damage, so has my daughter and son. I’d like to think that the more people that claim, the more chance that they may do something about it.  :-\

Looks like our council has had enough of paying out claims & they're actually sorting the potholes out at last, bit of a pain with the temporary lights popping up all over town but grateful something is actually being done.

Had a bit of luck with this one. Had a look in daylight and the steel rim was bent, allowing the tyre to deflate.
I hammered it straight again with a lump hammer, inflated the tyre and it seems to be holding air ok.  :)
