The LED tail light mounted on the boot lid is playing up. If it works at all, it just flickers.

I phoned BMW for a new one.........       £243!!  :o

What's wrong with a £1.50 bulb FFS.  ::)

If it had LED bulbs I could just replace them, but this thing has LED strips built into the light unit.  Hence the price......  :-\   ::)

I shall tinker with it for a while.  :P

85 year old Father in law is having one of his legs amputated today, and they are keeping a close eye on the other one.
Feel really sorry for the old fella. I worry he wont survive the trauma of the operation.

He is a real character. A lovable rogue, who has got away with all sorts through his life because he has an abundance of charm.
Used to get paid on a Friday and M.I.L might not see him again until Tues. or Weds.
After one of these episodes she once screamed at him  "who the fick is Christine ?"
He replied, I have no idea. Why do you ask ?"
"Because her fickin name has been  tatooed on your arm" was the reply.  ;D
" Dont worry my little peachy, you will always be my number one girl".
" number one girl ??!! Im your wife and mother fo your five kids".
" Thats why your always my number one girl". ;D ;D

When I met swmbo she made me promise never to go in a pub with him, so I promised.
After a few years had passed I kind of forgot and ended up in a pub with him.
I was half way down my first pint, and he was on his fifth. He then tried to pick a fight with seven blokes who looked like they were from the local rugby team, and he is about five feet 5 inches, but a stockily built bricklayer..
I was sweating buckets, and only managed to talk him out of it by reminding him that his seven year old son was sat outside in the back of my car, and if we left in and Ambulance or Police car, that was going to be a major problem, and his wife would never let him hear the end of it.
I might soon have the unenviable task of visiting his girlfriend of 65 years (who lives a couple of hundred yards from me) to tell her he is no longer with us.
Dont want to do it, but she made me promise I would quite a few years ago.  ::)

The state of our NHS , wifey in a lot of discomfort on Friday evening unable to stand up, ambulance service unable to give an ETA due to staffing/vehicle shortages with the help of a neighbour managed to get her into the car, several hours in casualty sitting amongst absolute scum of the earth , eventually I couldn't help myself & kicked off politely , she was at last seen & admitted fingers crossed they find out what is going on, we have a health plan with Beneden who I've been in touch with so far they've been brilliant.

I have found that if you have to make your own up to A&E that the wait always seems longer than if you arrive by ambulance. SWMBO had two worrying  angina attacks  over the last two weekends and we were told the by 999 control that the wait could have been 40 mins. Luckily, the ambulance station is just up the road and they arrived very quickly. The second attack meant she was in West Suffolk hospital for five days in which time her meds were adjusted which seems to have made a difference. She still has some measure of chest pain but cardiology reckons that's something she may have to put up with. She is into her early 80's now and she has various other conditions to contend with so we will just have to see how things go.

My F.I.L mentioned in my post above, collapsed onto the floor a few days ago as his legs had gone numb and wouldnt take his weight.
He laid on the floor for over five hours waiting for the Ambulance to come.
The Ambulance station is 150 yards away at the end of their road.  :(

I'm up in North Yorkshire for a week, and I always secretly worry that something could go wrong, health wise, while we're up here. Stuck out in the sticks with the nearest A&E miles away in Scarborough, which has a terrible reputation.
