It starts with 'nudge' policy then slowly becomes the norm.

Sunak and his like want to see the end of cash to be replaced with CBDC (central bank digital currency) There will be no privacy then and you may be unable to buy many items regardless of how much money you have in order to save the environment.

I imagine the very wealthy will be able to purchase some kind of carbon offset (utter bullshit) in order to maintain their lifestyle, and not  get provoked into being angry with the powers that be.

Yep.....the filthy rich will not be included. If you are a prole or pleb or even middle class you will need to cut back.....or stop.

Many of the issues we see now - like diminishing quantities of coal and the emissions from previous use, deforestation, etc etc - are the results of previous generations doing just that. At some point, Prince Andrew Rules apply and somebody has to pay the bill. If we continue with our profligate use of energy and resources we will end in a bad place of our own making. And that is a mind boggingly moronic thing to do. Perhaps we could call it the Prince Harry Effect?

You could argue that they might easily add it into the fares as a matter of course and it could easily be done as a unit based on the seat area as a percentage of the cabin floor space.
