8.7%......down from 10.1%

However, food inflation is 19.1% and we all have to eat. :-X
I've just been in the local CO OP, the Lurpak butter is in alarmed plastic cases which have to be opened at the till  ;D
I haven't had a Ginsters pasty for ages, but I remember them being about £1. In the same CO OP, 50p off, £2 instead of £2.50.

Famous for their gristle, connective tissue and meat of unknown origin, mixed with a couple of bits of spud and carrot.
Remember in the film 'The Great Outdoors' when Dan Ackroyd said of the burgers. They're all lips and arseholes.  ;D

What's the deal with Lurpak butter?  :-\

I've seen it's very expensive, but Lidl do Danepak and West Country (made in Caerphilly  ;D) spreadable butter which are much cheaper and probably just as good?  ???

No. The similarity ends with the packaging.

I buy Lidl's Westcountry (made in Caerphilly!  ;D) spreadable butter and it's fine!  :y

Maybe I'll have to raid my piggy bank and do a Lurpak/Danepak/Westcountry (made in Caerphilly!  ;D) spreadable butter taste test!  :)

Lidl beanz are better than Heinz.....as are plenty of budget brands.

Some people with more money than sense are easily seduced by brand names. ::) :P

By the way Yorkshire tea is not actually grown in Yorkshire.

What! i have always thought of those tea pickers toiling so hard on the slopes around Ilkley  :D. Though they do have plantations in Scotland and Cornwall.

I was going to put at the end of my post "Cue Opti with his ingredients list"  ;D

I'm not sure the contents of a Ginsters pasty can be described as 'ingredients'.... :D

More like toxic waste dipped in some sort of barely edible slurry. :-X
Tasty though, I like a bit of sheep's bolločk  ;D

Ahh I’m the other way myself, can’t beat a bit of Woolly pussy👍🤣🤣

There are some brands that are so much better than unbranded/budget:

Full fat coke
Heinz Beanz
Heinz cream of tomato soup
Sugar Puffs (or whatever they are called this week)*
McVities Digestives
HP Sauce
Stella Artois ;D

* though that might be I've only tried one lookalike, as can never find them - have enough trouble finding the branded ones

I've highlighted the items that are.

Heinz beanz are a soggy mess. Not in the top ten of beanz.

Is there such a thing?

I thought yeast extract was simply the left over shit scraped away when brewing beer. :D
