Why does it require a full restoration then

I mean, I understand that it might require some fettling and possibly some preventative things doing but that doesn't even come close to being a full restoration. Either it's immaculate or it's not...

This one is midnight blue with tan leather, I'm going to keep the colour the same but although the seats look in good nick I know of someone local who can refurb them completely, I'm going to keep them the same colour but will have the leather in the "diamond quilted" pattern that can be seen on most Bentleys.

How original though?

Say, for example, you replace points and coil on a sixties classic for electronic ignition. Or modern tyres and brakes.

What Rangie describes sounds like an 'acceptable update' to me.

Just wanted a slight difference to make it more "personalised" to me, everything else exactly to as new condition, even my missus liked driving the Granadas at one point we had two she had a 3.0 GL & I had the 3.0 Ghia, the MK2 I had was only a 2.3LX in gay gold 👍

If my memory of my brother-in-laws three MK2 2.8 Granada Ghia X’s is correct (he had two X’s and one X Executive), the standard Ghia X had flat leather (or cloth) and the X Executive had puffed up leather. The Executive seat looked like it had an additional topper and looked like someone had bolted a three piece suite in to the car and I always thought that it looked a bit overdone.
Each to their own though. 

This clip shows what I mean regarding the original Executive Connelly Leather seats. Oh, and his zorst could do with being a big bigger as well.    Turn the sound down as the reviewer gets on your tit.    Nice restoration otherwise though.

I had the same boot spoiler. It was ok until water got into the cracks in the foam and expanded when it froze in winter.
