I vote all traffic lights are bloody well banned. Especially on roundabouts (islands for you northerners).  What a stupid idea.

It's only for when the number of fully autonomous vehicles exceeds the number of piloted vehicles at a junction. Mooted by some egghead in America. As there are no fully autonomous vehicles on British roads, I wouldn't worry, Ray, you'll be well past driving before this takes effect.

Ah, that is now a long story!!
After the long hospital stay, now the recovery, I am getting bored.  So I thought I would break my self imposed “holiday”;from General Chat and contribute to a non-confrontational thread (   ) to “do” something

There is one make currently on Spanish roads but they are only motorways and the car has to be equipped with the tech to spot driver is alert.

We drove for forty minutes on some minor roads today and not a white line down either side or in the middle. Mostly not wide enough for two Tesla’s to pass. If they did then branches or weeds would strafe the side of the cars!
