My mate Bill ( the farmer) looked after our new Boxer boy Deezil for the last couple of days while we were at our Grandsons passing out parade, when we dropped him off he said I'll have a suprise for you when you get back, well I've just seen it a 1959

MGA which he is going to completely restore & an immaculate 1930s Morris 8 tourer, he's bought these because he's given up horse riding ( he's 81) the Morris was the first car he ever owned & he had an MGA  when he met his wife, nothing like reliving your youth..👍

That's absolutely fantastic! Hope it brings back happy memories for him. Also glad it's not just my stepdad who's in his 80s and still finding more interesting things to do than playing bridge and queueing in the Post Office...

.

He really is a smashing old boy, he's also got 2 Range Rovers a 2.5 diesel & a 4.4 Petrol & an S type Jag and he's always up at 5am "just pottering" in his workshop which has every piece of equipment you'd ever want, I've said to the missus he's exactly how I want to be in my eighties.

Impressive that he's only now given up riding.  :y

I gave up riding when I was about 30 when I fell off and decided that riding unpredictable beasties wasn't my thing!  ;D

.

The only reason he has given  up riding is last winter his horse slipped on some frost/ice and injured Bills leg when  he was trapped under it,lucky it was not far worse as his horse is huge ,but the old fella is as tough as old boots. He's well known in the area for giving Drs & medical staff a piece of his mind if they try and talk down to him a real character.
