Most of the work will be carried out by a spotty 17 year old yoof on minimum wage......with just a quick once over carried out by a more senior mechanic......oops sorry, they are called technicians these days.

£80ph is very reasonable, in my opinion. There are a lot of overheads involved in running a workshop these days. As for the VAT, that goes to Rachel to keep immigrants in hotels.

Couldn't tell you tbh, only time any of my cars has been in to one was for recall work...

My car doesn't go to MB either .... especially as they want to do a software 'upgrade' on my car re emissions. But I believe their 'diagnostic fee' is about £170
