I've always remembered the thing about the internet - anything on here (the internet) can be "Copy and Paste"'d in a heartbeat to somewhere you may not have intended it to ever go.

I see things even mroe clearly about the 'net since i started to host my own site (and see bits of it posted far and wide) and also became an admin on another forum.  Anything you put on the World Wide Web is exactly that - WORLD WIDE (mostly) for anyone to see.  We all have bad days/moments and put things up that we might see the other side of things a millisecond after the "Submit" button...that's when you have to think - do i delete, or apologise if it might have caused offence (sometimes after reading it the morning after)?  I'm not one to point fingers - what's done is done.

LZ will be sorely missed on here - her contributions were either technically well thought out or within the spirit of things, depending on the subject in hand.

I'll miss your posts, Lizzie...

As per the previous comments. I have never met Lizzie in the flesh. In fact I have only met a few of you in the flesh but it doesn't stop me enjoying the banter and general pi$$ taking that goes on.

At the end of the day it is only a forum (sorry, but it's the truth) but a good one. I try not to insult people, and equally not to read something into a post that isn't there, but I probably have (unknowingly) at some point :-[ :-[ :-[

I just hope that after a few days the "Retrospectascope" will do its magic and Lizzie will return, even if it is under a new user name, because she does have some valid and valued opinions. I feel slightly disappointed that in this group of sensible mad adults we have these occurrences of falling out :( :(

I still maintain this is the best car forum out there, hence why I still post despite having had to sell my mig 6 odd months ago. Trust me theres a lot more chance of getting flamed in the BMW forums, its all my c*cks bigger than yours attitude, same in the Audi forums. If you want an easy going forum, this is it!

Christ don't even go there - thats why i have a red sportscar - you automatically get an extra 2" :y

You are partly right - it is an old one, but i have looked after it and it is in good working order even though it is over 20 years older than the red sportscar :y  AND i still have the extra + 2" ;) ;) ;)

Can't really take the credit for it... My mother's been using it for years.

But I think it's quite a good way of describing that feeling of looking back in regret!! :D :D

I feel quite sad about whatever has happened I joined the site a while back but only started to participate recently. I have never met any one from the forum yet but hope to attend one of the meets one day.

All I can say is that in general I think this is probably one of the friendliest forums I have seen. If I offend anyone it is entirely unintentional but I am ex navy and an ex miner so my sense of humour can sometimes not be apprieciated by everyone.

The point I am trying to make is that we can innocently upset people in this arena because we cannot actualy see each others reactions to posts so we (in general) assume that we are doing nothing wrong. There may be a minority who are deliberately hurtful but these are in the minority and  we can ignore them quite easily.

Getting back to the topic though Lizzie was in my opnion very welcoming and actualy it was her responses to my earlier posts that made me feel welcome and I hope that she does come back as she contributed a lot to this site.
