What do you make of the guy?

He is clearly a very clever bloke - a string of successful companies plus his enormous wealth.

I think he has “ been there, done that” and is looking for something else …..Politics.  He isn’t eligible to be the POTUS. So the next best thing is to be power broker eg China and the West.

He has also been dabbling/ interfering in German and UK politics. It isn’t right that he can donate to a party especially not with his enormous wealth. I do however agree with him about Farage isn’t the man to lead Reform. To get the votes of the ordinary man who used to vote Tory needs a more rounded and less “ tainted” person in charge.

Overall , I am not an Elon Musk fan.

That said, I don't think that Electric Jesus likes being told no, and he's had his nose put out of joint that Farage has made it quite clear that Tommy Robinson isn't fit to represent Reform... (He's  not  wrong).

What Elon doesn't seem to fully appreciate is that the UK isn't a part of rural Alabama and that whilst Reform as a party stems from Brexit, and whilst immigration control was a part of the argument to leave, we aren't actually racist and the principle behind Reform is to make our system of governance work for the people rather than the privileged few.

I was starting to like the guy, watched a lot on Youtube about him.

There is talk of a Tesla Mobile Phone, Planes, Boats even helicopters. 

Technology wise he is a genius and has made a difference in a lot of areas. 

BUT, politics is an area he should keep out of (unless it's his own country.)  We all have opinions but don't forecast them bluntly over social media.

What is that other than "buying" votes.  People make donations to parties that suit their needs. That is fair enough BUT at what level would we say it is too much? a billion ? half a billion?

I would be more concerned about the likes of Gates and Bezos buying up large swathes of agricultural land around the world.

Yes none of the permanently outraged seemed at all concerned about Bill Gates and Blackrock's Larry Finks hobnobbing with TTK and Theeves in No 10 recently.

100 million shows just how out of touch Musk is in British politics: it's a decent amount to buy a dog catcher in the States, but is about a million times more than any of our politicians are worth. Especially the ones known to be for sale, like Farage .

Dont forget George Soros funding the campaign to rejoin the EU, and funding the "charities" who help illegal immigrants stay in the UK once they arrive.
Add in just about any other liberal left  cause across the globe, and Soros money will be there somewhere.
Havent heard much outrage about that over the years.
