Sachs is very well connected.
Try watching the video (though it might mean some eye-opening for you), then come back and argue.
I haven't commented on thread, apart from correcting your assertion, and neither will I.
You, like everyone else, have no clue about what will happen in Ukraine, and will find out when you read it in the news.
My assertion didn't need correcting. I know you won't listen to Sachs. You'll wait for others (like the BBC) to give their version.
Sometimes, I despair.

What makes some nobody on Youtube more believable that the main media? (not withstanding we all know that most media has their own agenda).
If I posted something about Ukraine/Russia on Youtube, would that make it automatically correct?
Like most conflicts, some element of blame can be leveraged at either side, but invariably one side is a fair bit more to blame than the other. Be that the Middle East, Cyprus, Africa, or the former USSR. Virtually the whole world aside from China and the Norks agree that Putin has overstepped the mark, and governments around the world have access to far more intelligence that you, me, or some knobjockey making money on Youtube. A fantastic opportunity for YouTubers to make good money saying something controversial
And like STEMO, I am purposely staying out of commenting my own personal views on this thread, only highlighting inaccuracies.
Yes, you and STEMO are right to recognise none of us know everything about this subject, if anything at all!
I do not normally post on General Discussion but I will just say now, as a matter of trying to keep the record straight, and not necessarily my personal opinion, but after reading history most of my adult life, and studying World War II, the twentieth century in particular, then observing the 21st century to date, I will stick with the comprehensive, universally acknowledged "facts" that should be remembered.
1/ On the subject of the Soviet Union, and how Stalin treated his people, and especially his army during WW2, fighting the Nazis, using hundreds of thousands as cannon fodder. How 10,000 soldiers alone of the Red Army lost in the Battle for Berlin, with troops killed by their own side by the anti-desertion squads who operated behind the main offensive line if they appeared to be retreating. 9 million military were lost, with 27 million Soviets in total killed.
2/ Stalin allowed no opposition, and anyone who opposed him were dealt with swiftly, including army generals.
3/ On the issue of today's Russia, Putin, and Ukraine, it is known that 90,000+ Russian soldiers have been killed fighting in Ukraine, with reported the anti-desertion squads, or more correctly "barrier troops", operating again behind their offensive lines.
4/ Putin, who according to President Trump "wants peace", invaded Georgia in 2008, then annexing Crimea from Ukraine in 2014, then invaded Ukraine, a sovereign country, in February 2022. Last night, on day 1087 of the war, it has been reported that Russia launched 133 drones across Ukraine. But, apparently Putin wants peace.
5/ The Munich Conference has found an American President and delegation talking about reaching a Peace Deal, and (Maybe??) accepting Russia can retain the territories so far occupied. In September 1938, at the Munich Agreement, Britain's Neville Chamberlain, and others, let Hitler to continue with his army's occupation of parts of Czechoslovakia to obtain "Peace in our time". World War II commenced on 1st September, 1939, as Hitler invaded Poland.
5/ Putin has allowed no opposition, and anyone who opposes are were dealt with swiftly, ending up in prison, then dead. Other opposition members are now in exile to escape Putin's wrath, or maybe not if his poisoners can get to them.
Oh, yes. There is nothing to fear from Putin's Russia!!!
