New head all cleaned up and fitted. Fully torqued down, cams loosely in place. Have locked them and fitted the caps but still have to tighten them down.

Next job is to finish cleaning the lower half of the timing face and refit the chain etc and ideally get the timing cover glued back on.

Today starts with gluing the timing cover on.

Finished up yesterday with both camcovers fitted, although spotted a snafu just as I finished torquing the exhaust camcover... One of the followers had shifted so had to undo that side to refit it >:(

Still, all timed up and ready to continue...

Progress is progress, and good job you checked and spotted the issue when you did.

True enough :y

Today has been a mixed bag...

Wins:
Starter, fuel rail, thermostat housing, exhaust fanimold and turbo all refitted. Oh and found my missing 10mm deep 1/4" socket... On the nearside wishbone  :o

Not so much:
Damned if I can get the heat sheilds back onto the turbo/fanimold. Also struggling to tighten an oil line between the block and turbo (can't get anything onto it to tighten it... Extra long 8mm spanner on its way)
Aux belt won't go back on. Need to research further as there's no obvious adjustment on it... Removed it with the water pump pulley, but it's not playing ball.

Waiting on some cheap oil to flush it through and above spanners.

Next week shouldn't be much more than refill the fluids, reattach the exhaust, plug everything in and press go.

Pile of bits is gradually getting smaller :y
