Whats this engine loom connector for
« on: 29 May 2025, 18:33:39 »

My car was a 3.2 automatic & has been converted to a 3.0 Manual, seemed to be a lot of unused plugs most likely from the auto so im removing them from the loom. Took photos of all unused but missed this one.

Cant remember if it was plugged in somewhere or if it was something to do with the automatic gearbox, 1 wire is blue/green & other is green/black

If its really long and part of gearbox part of loom, I think output shaft speed sensor was a 2 pin similar to that?

I’m told that one was for the starter inhibitor. Auto related

Have a couple more if anyone can tell me what they’re for 2x below the gearstick, possibly automatic related? Thanks :y

So long since I've looked under an Omega console, but 2 things spring to mind - handbrake switch or the solenoid to lock in park with ignition off?

I had a look online at a park solonoid, it looks to be a different connection. The black one I think might have been for the snow / winter button. The white one i havent quite worked out yet.

Any normal person would leave them but i want to remove all unused connections from the looms to satisfy my ocd ::)
