Omega Opportunity
« on: 17 September 2008, 19:27:56 »

Have noticed lately on the forum, that some members are thinking of selling their Omega's due to the forthcoming roadtax increases.

I know this may seem the logical way to save money in these hard times, but I personally don't think it to be a good idea.

OK from next year you will be paying an extra £200 for your tax, but that's (only £4 a week if you say it quickly)

2nd hand Omega's are already exceptional value. But I think that as soon as the new tax law actually comes into force, I think their prices will plummet even further.

Therefore, I will be there to take advantage of this opportunity.......I can just see it now....53 plate 3.2 Elite, 40,000 miles, cambelt just changed....£1500 ono.

Do you agree??? :y

Its a buyers market for the bigger engined cars at the moment, and lets face it, your screwed what ever you drive! You may as well have something you enjoy. I wouldnt have sold mine if it hadn't needed so much work and as some of you may know my wife was in a non fault car accident that left her out of work. I'm now driving a P plate 6 cylinder 2.5 323i, only paid £1600 for it but then I didnt have any extra cash due to lossing £750 on the mig in 3 months! Gutted....
